Simon Phillip Cowell (born 7 October 1959) is an English television personality, businessman and record executive. He has judged on the British television talent competition series Pop Idol (2001–2003), The X Factor (2004–2010, 2014–present) and Britain's Got Talent (2007–present), and the American television talent competition series American Idol (2002–2010), The X Factor (2011–2013), and America's Got Talent (2016–present). Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson (born October 25, 1984), known professionally as Katy Perry, is an American singer, songwriter, and television judge. After singing in church during her childhood, she pursued a career in gospel music as a teenager.

Perry signed with Red Hill Records and released her debut studio album Katy Hudson under her birth name in 2001, which was commercially unsuccessful. She moved to Los Angeles the following year to venture into secular music after Red Hill ceased operations and she subsequently began working with producers Glen Ballard, Dr. Luke, and Max Martin.

After adopting the stage name Katy Perry and being dropped by The Island Def Jam Music Group and Columbia Records, she signed a recording contract with Capitol Records in April 2007.

Ryan John Seacrest (born December 24, 1974) is an American radio personality, television host, and producer. Seacrest is known for hosting the competition show American Idol, the syndicated countdown program American Top 40, and iHeartMedia's KIIS-FM morning radio show On Air with Ryan Seacrest.

Paula Abdul fought back tears when she was reunited with former American Idol contestants on Monday during The Great Idol Reunion special on ABC.The 59-year-old singer and dancer was part of the original American Idol lineup on Fox that also included Randy Jackson, 65, and Simon Cowell, 62, as judges and Ryan Seacrest, 47, as host.Ryan after returning from a commercial break was approached by current judges Lionel Richie, 72, and Luke Bryan, 45, who informed him that people were sitting in their seats.

Reunion special:Paula Abdul fought back tears when she was reunited with former American Idol contestants on Monday during The Great Idol Reunion special on ABC'The lady said she was here first and the guy said something about a dog,' Luke said.'Hold on for a second,' Ryan said.
