Love Island winner Amber Gill has revealed that she ‘meant exactly what I said’ by her ‘switching teams’ tweet which went viral in early July, while opening up about her dating life since appearing on the reality show.Tweeting along with an episode of the recently finished 2022 series, Amber was critical of several of the boys’ behaviour while the girls were away in Casa Amor, declaring to her followers that ‘switching teams was the best decision I made in my life’.She also wrote: ‘Watching men makes me feel ill I couldn’t put myself through it again.’Following the frenzied reaction online, Amber said in the aftermath that they had just been ‘light-hearted’ tweets and that she would discuss her sexuality when she ‘is ready’.In a new interview on Thursday, the reality star opened up further, explaining that it was an ‘off the cuff comment’ but admitted that it was ‘true’ and added: ‘I meant exactly what I said’.When asked by Stephen Leng on the showbiz gossip programme Access All Areas on FUBAR Radio if this was her coming out, the 24-year-old responded: ‘Accidentally, yeah.
