Amanda Holden is reportedly being considered to take over hosting duties on Paul O’Grady’s For The Love Of Dogs.The much-loved comedian passed away suddenly in March, leaving the future of his show hanging in the balance.The first episode of the show aired in 2012, with Paul being the face of the programme up until his death.

Episodes filmed before Paul’s death went on to air in April, with his heartbroken fans left struggling to watch. While fans feared it was the end of the show after Paul’s passing, it’s now reported that Amanda may continue it.

Plans aren’t set in stone however as ITV executives feel like it’s still “too raw”, but the shared opinion is that continuing the programme is “what Paul would have wanted”.

Speaking about Amanda taking over the reins, a TV insider told The Sun: “Amanda is the natural choice to take over the job, not just because she’s a seasoned presenter but because she also cares about the home and would do anything for them.” OK!
