Britain's Got Talent fans were left scratching their heads after Amanda Holden made a baffling comparison between an act and TV favourite Stephen Mulhern.
During the semi-final extravaganza on Thursday night, 30 May, presenting duo Ant and Dec welcomed the judging panel Simon Cowell, Amanda, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli to the stage amidst a flurry of hopefuls ranging from acrobats to singers, all vying for a spot in the grand final and a chance to dazzle at the Royal Variety Performance.
Kicking off the show with a bang was Andrew Curphey, who energised the audience with his dynamic performance, belting out popular tunes and busting some moves.The stage was alive with dancers and confetti, and everyone was clapping , everyone except an unimpressed Simon, who hit the dreaded red buzzer.
Simon critiqued Andrew's vocal prowess and suggested he might be better suited as a game show host. "I really like you as a game show host," he remarked.
