Amadou Bakayoko believes he is far more than a super sub coming off the bench to grab strikes as he homes in on his best goals return in a season at Bolton Wanderers as he feels the competition in the final third is keeping all the forward players on their toes.
The forward joined Wanderers over the summer after being released by Coventry City and put pen to paper on a two-year deal at the University of Bolton Stadium.
Though his campaign has been disrupted due to injuries and left him out of action for large portions, he is still the club's second top scorer behind Dapo Afolayan with 11 goals. As well as the strike against Crewe, goals against AFC Wimbledon and Lincoln City have also come off the bench, as has the late leveller on the road against Morecambe at the start of February.
