Former Manchester United defender Gary Pallister has described Amad as a 'diamond', insisting the Ivorian's outlook on his role at Old Trafford ought to have changed.

Amad has been one of United's best players so far this season and has quickly established himself as a key figure in head coach Ruben Amorim's thinking, starting four of his first six games in charge.

The Ivorian, who was often overlooked by former United manager Erik ten Hag, has registered four assists in his first six appearances under Amorim, as well as playing a key role in the build up to other goals.
