Alton Towers offers seats on final Nemesis ride before it closes

Alton Towers fans are being given a chance to be on the final ride of Nemesis before it closes. We reported last month how the legendary roller coaster is set to close in November, much to the dismay of visitors.

Thankfully its closure is only temporary while the ride, Europe's first inverted rollercoaster, undergoes a revamp before returning in 2024. READ MORE: You can get extra ride time at Alton Towers' Scarefest this October half term and Halloween Now theme park bosses are giving fans of the coaster - otherwise referred to as 'test specimens' - the chance to be on the very last ride, alongside its creator.

It has launched a competition to ride alongside its creative originator John Wardley, who has worked on a number of other rides at Alton Towers Resort including the Runaway Train, Haunted House, Oblivion, Hex, Air, Th13teen, and the Wicker Man.

Winners will be awarded 'a jaw-dropping prize' - for themselves and a plus one - including park access, Fastrack Gold passes, as well as a chance to meet the creator and take part in the final ride on November 6.
