Ally McCoist has revealed he was once targeted by a crazed female fan who had escaped from prison. The Rangers legend told how he was given a warning by police about the woman who was obsessed with him.McCoist was visited by officers at his then home in East Kilbride, Lanarkshire, and was informed the woman was on the loose. The former Ibrox player and manager was shown a photograph of her and urged to take precautions to keep himself safe. The incident happened when the 61-year-old was a young player at Rangers in the 1980s.Asked on Talksport if he had ever had a "weird fan", he said: "Oh aye.

Honest to God."It was just to warn me to keep an eye out just in case. They brought me a photograph of the person."McCoist admitted he was scared by the police warning and would have felt more equipped to deal with the situation if the fan was a male. However he saw the funny side of the story when asked to confirm if it was a woman. He added: "That's an incredible thing to say.
