Ex-Rangers star Trevor Steven joked a rich Scot has coughed up £4m for Diego Maradona’s ' Hand of God ' shirt as it goes on sale at auction.
Maradona swapped shirts with former midfielder Steve Hodge at the end of Argentina’s 1986 World Cup fixture against England and it has stayed in his possession for 35 years.
Hodge has now put the shirt up for sale at Sotheby's and a £4m reserve on the garment has already been met by one anonymous bidder.
Ibrox legend Steven appeared on TalkSport breakfast show and told Ally McCoist swapping shirts wasn’t something the players had discussed beforehand.
