A new Ally McBeal series might be coming to small screens soon. A new iteration of the former Fox show, which starred Calista Flockhart in the title role, on ABC, according to Deadline. The outlet reports that the revival would follow a young Black woman who joins the law film from the original series straight out of law school.
The young woman is believed to be the daughter of Ally McBeal’s D.A. roommate Renée Raddick, who was played by Lisa Nicole Carson on the mothership series.
Deadline also reports that the series creator, David E. Kelley, has given his blessing on the revival, but will not be involved with it.
