New Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has the credentials to succeed at the top of the game, believes Old Trafford captain Bruno Fernandes.
Amorim is the new Old Trafford chief after his appointment was confirmed on Friday. Erik ten Hag was sacked on Monday and United have moved quickly to finalise a replacement.
The 39-year-old won't officially take charge until November 11 with Ruud van Nistelrooy remaining in caretaker charge until then.
Amorim will have the international break to work with the players ahead of his first game in charge at Ipswich on November 24. "If he really takes the next step – I hope he stays at Sporting – but if he takes the next step, I think all the qualities are there to be able to succeed in English, French, or Spanish football," Fernandes told SportTV in March 2024.
