Heavy snow has been forecast for parts of England this week, as the severe cold snap and plummeting sub-zero temperatures continue to move in.
A plunge of cold Arctic air is set to see a sharp change in the conditions we have mostly seen so far this winter, with snow expected to fall over parts of England throughout the week, including in Greater Manchester.
Warnings have already been issued over possible disruption, with the Met Office introducing yellow weather warnings for snow and ice, which cover the Greater Manchester region, as well as the north west, north east and Scotland, for Tuesday and Wednesday.
