All the Met Office weather warnings in place as UK set for more snow

This week the UK has been hit with an Arctic blast, with a number of weather warnings issued by the Met Office. The weather is set to remain chilly around the UK with more warnings of snow and rain issued haeidng into the weekend.

The snowy blast has seen major disruption with road closures, flight and train delays and more than 100 school closures. Read more: The simple plastic bag hack that can defrost a frozen car in seconds The Met Office originally predicted that the weather would get milder again by the weekend but it looks to be staying chilly for a little while longer.

The national forecaster now says that there will be "heavy snow on Saturday, followed by a rapid thaw and subsequent rain on Saturday night, may cause some disruption. "Outbreaks of rain will spread north eastwards on Saturday, preceded by a spell of snow across parts of northern England and Scotland. "Whilst snow will become increasingly confined to higher elevations with time, there is the chance of a transient period of snow to low levels in some areas, with perhaps as much as 5-10 cm accumulating in places, especially the Vale of York, before turning back to rain" Here are all the weather warnings which have currently been issued by the Met Office.
