A former Bingo hall due to be converted into flats and a £250m data centre that could house AI technology are among the biggest plans pitched to councils across Greater Manchester this week.
The data centre in Eccles, Salford promises a new home for 'every element of modern life' - as well as bringing a host of new jobs and visitors to the region.
And just down the road, Eccles' disused Bingo Hall could find a new lease of life as 82 apartments. Both developments come as Salford City Council seeks to inject new investment into the town.
Other applications include prep work on Bolton's Hulton Park Ryder Cup golf club, a convent in Trafford that could be bulldozed for luxury apartments and a former railway site in Bury, which could be cleared to make way for 148 new apartments.
