All My Children is eying a return, this time as a holiday movie. Lifetime is in early development on Christmas In A Pine Valley, an original movie followup to the long-running ABC daytime drama, a spokesperson confirmed to Deadline.
According to sources, conversations are currently underway on the project, which is in a conceptual stage. There is no writer, and it is unclear yet which characters from the original series may be featured in the film.
Like the soap, the potential movie will be set in Pine Valley, Pennsylvania, a fictional suburb of Philadelphia, which is modeled on the actual Philadelphia suburb of Rosemont.
Lifetime is connected corporately to ABC via the broadcast network’s parent Disney, which co-owns Lifetime parent A+E Networks.
