Following being sworn in as the 47th President of the United States, Donald Trump has already nailed his colours to the presidential mast.
Within the first few hours of his return to the White House on Monday, the new President had signed a raft of executive orders changing US policy on everything from immigration to climate change.
While the newly signed executive orders carry the weight of law, they can still be overturned by subsequent presidents or the courts, where many could still be challenged.
The first hours also saw President Trump issuing fall pardons or commuting the prison sentences of 1,500 people charged with crimes relating to the January 2, 2021, US Capitol riot.
