Trains across the north of England will switch to a new summer timetable from Sunday, with a warning to passengers to check times before they travel issued.
Northern, which operates services around Greater Manchester and the region, said the majority of its services would be largely unaffected, but confirmed some trains will run at new times.
It also revealed there would be a 'handful of service changes'. National Rail said the UK rail timetable is changed twice a year, typically in either May or June and then in December.
Commuters, meanwhile, are now being urged to always check the websites of train operating companies before they travel.
