EXCLUSIVE: Miramax has appointed former Village Roadshow, Amigos de Garcia and CBS executive Alix Jaffe as President of Television, effective March 31.
She succeeds Marc Helwig who departed the company at the start of 2025 after almost five years. In her new role, Jaffe will oversee teams across Los Angeles, London and Doha, reporting to Jonathan Glickman, CEO of Miramax, which is owned by Qatari-based beIN Media Group and Paramount Global.
Miramax’s SVP of Television Development Mirsada Abdool Raman will report to Jaffe. “The combination of Alix’s razor-sharp creative instincts, deep talent relationships, and her expertise in nurturing both existing IP and original content creates an extraordinary opportunity for Miramax TV,” Glickman said. “With the strength of Miramax’s iconic library, she is uniquely positioned to drive innovative storytelling, elevate our global business, and lead us in delivering the highest-quality talent and stories to audiences worldwide.” Jaffe, whose experience in television development and production spans two decades, was most recently EVP of Television for Village Roadshow Entertainment Group, which has been facing financial issues as of late.
There, she oversaw scripted television content as well as projects from the parent company’s library, including the Nash Bridges revival movie for USA/Peacock and the launch of the BBC Two series We Might Regret This, which was recently greenlighted for two additional seasons.
