Alison Hammond has shared the details of a moment in her life when she received a proposal from a mystery man, in a rare look at her love life.
The 48 year old This Morning presenter, who co-hosted the ITV show today (September 4) alongside returning star Holly Willoughby, described the moment she could have become a fiancée.
While the man who laid his heart on the line and could have become her husband-to-be remains a mystery, Alison said she had the "most beautiful proposal" one night in her bedroom.
Chatting about the concept of public proposals and whether they're romantic or simply embarrassing, Alison and Holly, 42, opened up on their own experiences with regular guests Gyles Brandreth, an author and TV star, and The Telegraph's Royal editor Camilla Tominey. "I didn't get very many proposals in my life but there were two that I did get," Alison explained. "I won't say who it was because then it would be exposed but, they did it in private in my bedroom. "I was in my nightie, I had no makeup on and it was the most beautiful proposal I have ever had in my life," the Birmingham-born star continued.
