‘Alien: Romulus’ Sets Hulu Streaming Date Prior To Thanksgiving

The second highest grossing Alien movie in box office history, Alien: Romulus, will hit Hulu on Nov. 21. That’s a 98 day theatrical window, which is pretty robust and par for Disney since returning to windows post former CEO Bob Chapek.

The title will hit DVD on Dec. 3. The Fede Alvarez directed Alien Romulus grossed $105.3M at the domestic box office and $350.8M worldwide.

That’s behind Ridley Scott’s Alien prequel, Prometheus, which made $126.4M domestic, $403.3M worldwide. Alien Romulus was set 20 years after the original Alien movie (1979) and follows a group of young colonizers who come face-to-face with the worst life form while scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station.

Alvarez told us on Crew Call about his inspirations for the Alien sequel: “I hope people connect with it because it’s such a third world story.
