Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,

Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.

Alfredo Morelos insists suggestions he has agreed personal terms with Lille are just speculation. And he revealed that he hasn't held talks with Steven Gerrard over leaving the Ibrox side as he focuses on the return of the Premiership on Saturday.

The Ibrox side travel to Pittodrie on Saturday morning to take on Aberdeen and there are fears Rangers could be left without a recognised striker if Morelos leaves, with Jermain Defoe still injured.

But the 23-year-old insists nothing is confirmed and he is only looking to play games and score more goals for the club.Morelos did, though, reiterate his wish to play in a better league but hailed Rangers fans for the love they have shown him.
