Paul Pogba is officially the highest-paid pounds-per-minute footballer in the Premier League. The Manchester United midfielder earned a staggering £28,735 for every 60 seconds he wore the famous Red shirt over the past injury-ravaged 12 months.
That makes him the No 1 earner in the world's richest league when it comes to measuring wages against actual minutes on the pitch.
A study by OLBG, using financial data from Forbes' 2020 list of the highest-paid athletes in the world, claims Pogba earned a basic wage of $23million (£17.53m) in the 12 months up to June 1.
Having spent just 610 minutes on the pitch, that works out at $37,705 (£28,699) every 60 seconds. That means it took Pogba less than half-an-hour of action to bank a cool one
