Alex Jones lost big time in court. The Infowars host was ordered to pay at least $4.1 million to Scarlett Lewis and Neil Heslin, whose 6-year-old son Jesse who was killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School, for spreading lies about the 2012 shooting, NBC News confirmed.
The couple sought $150 million for defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Alex‘s asked jurors to award the couple only $1. The jury will also decide whether to award punitive damages, and testimony will be presented Friday (August 5). Alex famously asserted that the shooting was a lie, and included crisis actors.
