The Food Standards Agency has issued a warning about bottles of counterfeit vodka made with an industrial solvent which if consumed may cause alcohol poisoning 'and in severe cases death'.
The regulator published the warning about 35cl bottles of counterfeit vodka labelled 'Glen's Vodka' which 'may have a strange smell and taste differently to genuine vodka'.
Anyone who consumes it and has a reaction is being urged to seek urgent medical attention. The alert said: "The FSA has been made aware of the production and distribution of counterfeit vodka labelled as Glen’s Vodka.
