Manchester United's famous No.7 shirt has weighed heavy on its owners in recent years and Alejandro Garnacho should heed David Beckham's timely advice if he is to take it on next.
Beckham is one of several United legends to have donned the famous shirt, his name among the likes of Bryan Robson, George Best, Eric Cantona and Cristiano Ronaldo.
However since the latter's departure for Real Madrid in 2009, the chosen few have not fared quite so well. Michael Owen was the first to follow, then Antonio Valencia, Angel Di Maria, Memphis Depay, Alexis Sanchez, Edinson Cavani and back to Ronaldo - although the second time was less successful, with the Portugal international leaving in November after an explosive interview with Piers Morgan.
United's decision to consider Garnacho as its next owner - and the first teenage recipient since Ronaldo back in 2003 - is a brave one.
