Alec Baldwin ‘returns to work with new film’ after fatal Rust shooting

Alec Baldwin is set to make a return to filming after the tragedy on the Rust set, it has been claimed.The 63-year-old was holding a prop gun when it went off during filming last October, fatally shooting cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.She was taken to hospital but died from her injuries shortly after.According to reports, the 30 Rock actor is returning to work for the first time after the incident, and will be filming a new project in Hampshire.The Sun reports that he is taking the lead in upcoming film 97 Minutes, following a highjacked plane that is due to crash when fuel runs out.‘Filming is top secret, but there is a lot of buzz that Alec is set to get back to work after Rust,’ an insider told the publication.‘Of course, safety on set is paramount and the crew is being kept to an absolute minimum so he can focus on his work.’Baldwin confirmed that he was travelling to do a ‘little job’ earlier this week, sharing an emotional video in the airport lounge before his flight to the UK.‘I am about to go on a trip to go do a little job, and I am – as I often am – miserable,’ he began. ‘I’m very sad whenever I leave my family. ‘I leave my family for a brief job, it’s not that long, but I hate it.
