Alec Baldwin Reflects on Biggest Regret Following Tumultuous Divorce from Kim Basinger

Alec Baldwin is opening up about his emotional split from Kim Basinger. The 66-year-old actor revealed in a recent episode of his new TLC reality show, The Baldwins, that he regrets how the divorce process, which lasted seven years, affected his now 29-year-old daughter Ireland. Keep reading to find out more… “I must say that because my relationship with my daughter Ireland was so negatively impacted by my divorce from her mother and having a very protracted custody battle that the media really were having a party about everything,” Alec said in the episode. “One of my most regrettable things about the whole thing was how it affected Ireland,” he added. Alec and Kim were married from 1993 to 2002, and welcomed Ireland in 1995.

In 2007, the 30 Rock star left an infamous voicemail to then 11-year-old Ireland during a custody battle. Despite this, Alec says that he now has a “good relationship” with Ireland. Alec went on to marry Hilaria Baldwin in 2012.

They share seven children together: Carmen, 11, Rafael, 9, Leonardo, 7, Romeo, 6, Eduardo, 4, Maria, 3, and Ilaria, 2.
