Aldi is helping shoppers to keep costs low during an expensive month by announcing even more price cuts across nearly 40 popular items. The budget German supermarket has said that it has slashed up to 10 percent across a variety of household staples such as chicken goujons, beef mince, sausages and salmon fillets, alongside other produce. As reported by the Manchester Evening News, the latest cuts come just after customers have already seen price drops of more than 300 products over the past few months, Aldi said.Additionally, the UK's fourth largest supermarket chain has slashed the cost of some Christmas veg down to as little as 15p, in a sale which will last from today, Monday December 18 until Sunday, December 24.Aldi, which was recently unveiled as the cheapest UK supermarket for November 2023, has said that it is committed to keeping prices "as low as possible" after investing around £12 million in cutting prices of seasonal staples.Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, said: "We know that this time of year can be an expensive time for everyone, which is why we are cutting more prices than ever before in December.

Our commitment to always keep our prices as low as possible for customers is going nowhere and we continue to see shoppers switch to Aldi for this very reason."
