Aldi in hot water with mums over £8.49 baby milk formula

Supermarket giant Aldi has once again found itself in hot water with parents over a popular baby product. Earlier this month we reported how mums and dads were left perplexed by a reduction in the number of baby wipes in Mamia packs.

Now another product has angered parents - and this time it's baby milk. Posting in the popular Scrimping On a Budget Facebook group, Tiffany-Jayne Greenhalgh: "First infant milk in Aldi has gone up from £7.99 to £8.49 in a week wouldn't mind but in the 8 months we've bought it every week it's gone up 10/15p not sure how much longer we can keep up!!" Parents were quick to slam Aldi for the price increase, and flocked to the comments section to have their say. We used to go through 5 tubs of formula a week! And it was crazy expensive without an extra rise. So wrong. Babies milk shouldn't be allowed to have a price increase." Abbie Bennett said: "Necessity isn't it!

Ours sons 3 and still drinks formula (he likes it and it's doing him no harm), the price is crippling. But the way I look at it is, we spend more than that on alcohol, not saying you do, so we've swapped the wine for baby milk in our shopping trolley.
