A 17-year-old boy was lured to a park in a row over a debt and stabbed to death, a murder trial has been told. College student Alan Szelugowski bled to death in Clowes in Salford following a knife attack by three boys, in which he suffered at last 20 stab and slash wounds to his head and body and other injuries to his arms and legs, jurors were told.

Three youths, all now 17, who cannot be named for legal reasons, deny murdering Alan on January 29 this year. One of the defendants, Boy A, was 17 at the time and is alleged to have recruited two 16-year-old boys - Boy B and Boy C - before Boy A 'lured' Alan to the park to be attacked.

Opening the case for the prosecution today (Wednesday), Simon Kealey told a jury at Minshull Street Crown Court Boy A had 'fallen out' with Alan over a debt and arranged to meet him in Clowes Park to 'sort things out'. READ MORE: The prosecutor added: "Alan Szelugowski attended the meeting alone. [Boy A] recruited the other two defendants to come to the park and when they met all three of the defendants attacked Alan Szelugowski.

He was stabbed repeatedly to his head and face and he had injuries to his body and legs and he was left in the park and bled to death in the park." Dog walkers discovered his body the following morning and a post mortem examination revealed he had suffered at least 20 stab and slash wounds to his head and body and others to his arms and legs, the court was told.
