Alan Cumming is reprising his X-Men role of Nightcrawler for Marvel‘s upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. After the cast reveal was made on a live stream, the Traitors US host took to social media to express his excitement about returning and share a video of himself practicing his Nightcrawler moves. “Never say never,” Cumming captioned the Instagram post.
Cumming played the comic book role in 2003’s X2: X-Men United. The actor will also reunite in the new Avengers movie with his co-stars including Patrick Stewart (Charles Xavier / Professor X), Ian McKellen (Magneto), Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler), Rebecca Romijn (Mystique), and James Marsden (Cyclops).

I love the fact that something so mainstream and so in the comic book world is so queer.” He continued, “I think, in a way, those sorts of films really help people understand queerness, because you can address it in an artistic way, and everyone is less scared of the concept.
