Al Harrington dead: Hawaii Five-O actor dies aged 85 in Honolulu hospital after stroke
express.co.ukHarrington’s most popular role was as Detective Ben Kokua in the original Hawaii Five-0 series, which aired from 1968 until 1980.Three decades later, he appeared in the remake, which starred Alex O'Loughlin, Daniel Dae Kim and Scott Caan.He played Mamo Kahike, a surf shop owner and bus driver, from 2011 to 2018.Harrington also had a role in the TV series Charlie’s Angels in 1977.In the 80s, Harrington appeared on The Jeffersons and later on Magnum PI, which was set in Hawaii.
In 1992, the actor retired, but returned to the screen in 1994's Forrest Gump and White Fang 2: Myth of the White Wolf.Harrington moved back to Hawaii in 2008.He is survived by his wife, Rosa, sons Alema and Tau, daughters Summer Harrington and Cassi Harrington Palmer,.
