I was chatting on Insta Stories the other day and the impulse to add a filter was intense. Intense. A little Paris filter smoothing out love and I would look instantly better.
In the end I chose against the Vaseline lens temptation. I went with my real, rather worn, slightly sun-damaged, not doing too bad though, 42-year-old mug.
No filter. Not that I won’t filter my face in the future, or condemn anyone for choosing a more pleasing option, it was just in that instance, I thought, no, no filter.
