Airdrie Working Men's Club has pocketed a very special guest to put on a sporting showcase partly in aid of a local charity.Four-time World Snooker Champion, and Lanarkshire's own, John Higgins will be performing his terrific talents against eight Monklands residents at the Broomknoll Street venue on Friday, December 6.
The Wizard of Wishaw who, along with his World Titles, has secured three UK Opens among nine triple crown titles, will be helping his old friend Pat McKinney who has "brought the Workies' [Working Men's Club] snooker arena back to its former glories".
