Airdrie boss Rhys McCabe reckons his side should have taken the win from Partick Thistle this afternoon.Ben Wilson bagged his 14th goal of the season to cancel out Brian Graham’s first-half opener and take a point from Firhill.But McCabe reckons his side did enough to merit all three, and that Thistle hero Stuart Bannigan should have been sent off.McCabe said: “I thought we deserved the three, we were the better team.“Breaking it down, I thought we started the game really well in the first 25 minutes,, we were the team on the front foot, were the team that came out with real intent, and the goal comes against the run of play, from our set piece.“Credit to them, for about 10 minutes after that we got a little bit distracted, the shape and stuff went.“We managed to regroup at half-time, got our message across, we came out, had a great response, and should go on to win the game.“That’s what we said to the boys at half-time, could we show a little bit more composure, we’ve got good footballers, and can the guys in the second half of the pitch take a split second and get their foot on the ball, make an extra pass, or whatever it may be.“We did that, it was a great move, into Chris Mochrie, he finds himself on the half-turn and he drives and commits, it’s a great weight of pass to Frizz, who then picks out Ben Wilson and it’s a good finish.“It was really pleasing in the second half.

I think the intent and the willingness of the players to get forward, and we looked a real threat.“Probably every Partick player will tell you that once we got in behind their midfield and were attacking with legs and energy, we looked a real threat.“It was really, really pleasing and I’m maybe a bit biased, but I thought we deserved all three.”On
