Airdrie boss Rhys McCabe insists his struggling side are ‘not a million miles away’ from turning a corner after seeing positives in their defeat to league leaders Falkirk.The Diamonds’ dismal run continued on Saturday when they lost 2-0 away to the Bairns to take their losing streak to five in the Championship.The club have also won just once in their last 15 games in all competitions.Goals in each half from Keelan Adams and Calvin Miller kept Airdrie four points adrift at the bottom, ahead of facing nearest rivals Dunfermline this weekend in a huge clash at East End Park.But McCabe – whose side have also failed to score in their last four outings – felt his depleted squad created enough that suggests they can put an end to their rotten run soon.He said: “We’re not a million miles away.“Anybody can see that we have got 10 injuries at the moment.“Arguably, they are starters or at least seven of them are starters that played in the Premier Sports Cup earlier in the season.“Some boys have been integral to what we have been doing over the last two or three seasons since I’ve been here, there’s also boys new to the club.“It has been frustrating because you are not having the full squad to pick from every week, but there’s no excuses.“That should be an opportunity for somebody else to step in.“The [lack of] confidence comes from results and getting into the domino effect of a feeling sorry for ourselves mentality.“But you saw that Falkirk are a good side, there’s no getting away from that.“You have moments in games against a team who are flying, full of confidence, and you hit the bar twice.“It is frustrating and on another day, if we are further up the table and off the back of a couple of wins, we go and put them to the
