Airdrie action partnership launches Christmas appeal

A busy Airdrie community association comprising numerous good causes across the town had a special festive visitor to help luanch their Christmas appealAirdrie Action Partnership is running a Christmas gift appeal throughout this month – and its representatives were greeted by Santa as their project got underway in earnest.Volunteers from the 15 groups making up the partnership will be working “tirelessly” until Christmas to sort and pack toys and gifts donated to go to local children, young adults and carers.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Also involved in the group are Airdrie citizens’ advice bureau, Airdrie foodbank, Routes to Work, Cairnlea Church, the Salvation Army, Airdrie Kinship, Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire, plus NHS health improvement and North Lanarkshire Council.Members of the organisations meet monthly to work on projects which “work to address the priorities that have been identified by the wider community”.
