Craig Watson says Airdrie must right the wrongs of their last meeting with Ayr today and end their hoodoo against the Honest Men.The Diamonds have lost their last SEVEN meetings with Ayr and suffered one of their heaviest defeats to them back in August when they went down 5-0 at Somerset Park.Since then, the sides have experienced hugely contrasting fortunes with Airdrie rock bottom of the Championship and without a win in their last eight league games, while Scott Brown’s side are in title contention with Falkirk and Livingston.But Watson hopes getting a rare win over the rivals can be just the spark they need.The defender said: “If ever there was a time to get the monkey off the back, Ayr is the game to do it in.

They have been a real bogey team for us over the past year and a half.“So it would be great to get one over on them due to our position in the league and our record against them.
