Airbnb makes ban on parties in UK permanent in crackdown on loutish holidaymakers

Airbnb’s temporary ban on parties and events at properties on the platform has now become permanent, the company has announced.

The short-term letting website announced that it would take action against hosts and guests across the globe who hold parties from August 2020 onwards.

At the time, the company said that this was "in the best interest of public health" during the Covid pandemic. The company said that the number of parties being held at Airbnb properties around this period increased as a large number of bars and clubs remained close.
