Aimee Lou Wood is fast becoming a household name. The BAFTA award-winning actress has been steadily building an impressive CV, with roles in everything from Sex Education to critically-acclaimed film Living with Bill Nighy.
On stage, she's appeared in Uncle Vanya and the star-studded West End revival of Cabaret. Next up for the 29-year-old is a plum part in Netflix hit The White Lotus - and she's currently starring with David Morrissey in BBC comedy Daddy Issues.
The show opens with her hedonistic character Gemma discovering she’s pregnant after a random hook-up. She has no choice but to turn to her hapless father Malcolm (Morrissey) for support and asks him to move in with her.
The BBC says of the show: "From dating disasters and failed romances through to toxic friendships and messy family dynamics, plus a dangerously sociopathic antenatal teacher, Daddy Issues is an big hearted story about a father and daughter, and the reality of facing up to parenthood - at any stage of life."
