Aiden McGeady has gone from having no job to multiple ones with Ayr United - and he is loving it. The former Celtic and Republic of Ireland winger was released by Hibs at the end of last season following speculation he could decide to hang up his boots.
But, despite previous knee trouble and hamstring surgery, the 37-year-old is adamant he was always confident he could play on.
He is now combining his on-field duties with a long list of others he has taken on at Somerset Park in his role as technical director.
And the ex-Everton, Sunderland and Spartak Moscow player, who has a two-year deal as a player with Ayr, admits it has opened his eyes to the way his career could pan out when he does retire.
