A new 'affordable' steak restaurant has confirmed the launch date for its Manchester site. Flat Iron, a London-founded steakhouse chain will open its doors on Deansgate next month.
It will open on July 3 within the former premises of the Royal London Friendly Society, a Grade II-listed building designed by Charles Heathcote and first opened to the public in 1908.
Most recently, the building was home to specialist outdoor clothing brand Blacks. The chain is know for its signature ‘Flat Iron’ steak, taken from the often overlooked featherblade.
It also serves sides including beef dripping chips, creamed spinach, truffled macaroni cheese and crispy bone marrow garlic mash.
