Angela Rayner has set out a timetable for some of Labour's key pledges on housing and worker's rights. The Deputy Prime Minister and Ashton-under-Lyne MP delivered the first major speech of this year's Labour Party conference in Liverpool - the first since the party came to power.
She spoke of how her experience as a single mum in Stockport has prepared her for government in a deeply personal speech on Sunday morning (September 22).
But she also made a series of announcements on when the new Labour government will start to deliver on some of its key pledges.
She announced that Awaab's Law - championed by the Manchester Evening News after we first revealed details of the shocking death of two-year-old in a Rochale flat - will finally come into force this autumn.
