Adrien Brody has made Oscars history again! The 51-year-old actor won the award for Best Actor for his role in The Brutalist at the 2025 Academy Awards on Sunday (March 2) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

The record was previously held by Greer Garson when she won Best Actress for Mrs. Miniver in 1943. According to Guinness World Records, Greer‘s speech was five minutes and 30 seconds. Adrien also currently holds the record for the youngest person to win the Best Actor award for when he won for The Pianist back in 2003 at age 29.
Following his win last night, Adrien explained why he threw his gum to girlfriend Georgina Chapman.
