Homeowners have been warned to 'act now' after flood warnings were issued. Large parts of Cheshire, including parts of Warrington, as covered by the alert, which was issued today by the Environment Agency.
The warning covers almost the entirety of Victoria Park; at Marshall Gardens, Chester Road and Arpley Road; and the Riverside Trading Estate near Fiddlers Ferry.

"Higher than normal tides" are expected over the next two days and the Agency warns it could issue further alerts and warnings.
