AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli has provided an update on Franck Kessie's future amid links to Manchester United. The Manchester Evening News understands signing a midfielder is United's priority this summer and Kessie — who has impressed in defensive midfield for AC Milan of late — has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford.
United supporters will certainly be familiar with Kessie after he delivered two impressive performances against them in the Europa League Round of 16 last term.
Kessie is in the final year of his contract in Italy and he's set to be available to sign on a free transfer at the end of the season.
The 25-year-old Ivorian international has made 27 appearances for AC Milan this campaign and he could represent a shrewd, value signing for United.
