ABBA‘s virtual Voyage concert residency is receiving a “small” revamp this May for its third anniversary in London – find out more below.Today (March 27), the band and the ABBA Voyage team have announced new changes being made to the acclaimed virtual concert experience to celebrate its third consecutive year.The band said per a press release: “When we first opened we never imagined that we’d still be in London 3 years on.
We’re very grateful that so many of you have joined us. Of course, the reason for us being able to sustain our concert for so long is because of our incredible audience.
As we say in Sweden… Vilken resa!”As a result, the band will be implementing “a little something to our concert” beginning on May 27, three years to the exact date that ABBA Voyage first launched.While details surrounding the exact changes being made remain under wraps, ABBA’s team have confirmed via the press release that “some additions and small changes will be made to the ABBA Voyage setlist”.This isn’t the first time a change to the setlist has been discussed.
Speaking to NME in April 2023, Björn Ulvaeus revealed that they did work on more songs that could work their way into future iterations of the show. “We did motion capture more songs that we have in this concert,” he said. “There are songs in the pipeline which might be animated and ‘ABBA-tarred’ in the future.
