A1 shut and Clackmannanshire Bridge closures in place as Storm Arwen arrives in Scotland

The busy A1 road has been shut in both directions as winds of up to 84mph batter the east coast of Scotland. The Clackmannanshire Bridge has also been closed to high sided vehicles due to the arrival of Storm Arwen.

The A1 is off limits between Thistly Cross roundabout near Dunbar, East Lothian, and Abbotsview Junction, as a red weather warning has been issued for this evening.
