South Lanarkshire Council have completed a recycling project which has transformed old material into over 500 blankets.The council’s social work resources have created blankets using donated bedding and clothing, the blankets have been given to local schools, nurseries and animal charities.Materials were donated by residents from across South Lanarkshire to the council’s Social Work Unpaid Work Service who have recycled pre-loved items into ‘rag rug’ blankets.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
