A Place In the Sun star Danni Menzies has candidly opened up about her love life as she recalled an awkward evening with a former flame that left her “scarred for life”.The former presenter, who left the programme back in 2022 after six years on our screens, spilled the beans on her disastrous encounter, which is said to have taken place while she was dating a mystery actor at the time.The 35 year old opened up about the disaster during her appearance on MTV's Celeb Ex in the City, when she revealed that in the middle of a passionate tryst things took an awkward turn for the worst, when her date declared their love for her in the middle of the act itself. "I’ve only got one thing going through my head.This is awful,” explained a mortified Danni on the show.

She then continued: "I don’t think I can say it. So the first time that somebody told me that they loved me was when they were, they were an actor and they were very dramatic, and they were about to come and they went ‘I, I, I, I love you’." Although Danni remained notably tight lipped about the identity of the mystery man, she did go on to add: "It’s literally scarred me for life.

And now I can’t ever get that out of my head." In addition to the awkward encounter forever being stuck in her mind, Danni also went on to claim that she had walked away from her presenting role on A Place in The Sun after it was starting to impact on her love life.

Speaking to The Sun, Danni said: "It's really hard to get a boyfriend when you're travelling and living out of a suitcase all the time.” And when asked about the scheduling demands of the show, she added: "It's like half of the year pretty much, but it's broken up so you'd do three weeks away, two weeks back, a week away, a week.
